Midissage with an introduction to the exhibition
on Friday, 27.4. 2018, 7 pm
Exhibition duration until May 12, 2018
The group exhibition brings together works from the artists' estates Johann Georg Geyger (1921-2004), Rudolf Nicolai (1918-1998) and Eberhard Steneberg (1914-1996). The focus is on the abstraction of the 1950s and 1960s: Steneberg's painting, which is indebted to Russian Constructivism, stands alongside Nicolai's experimental oeuvre, which ranges from Constructivism to Art Informel in various materials, as well as Geyger's early abstract compositions on canvas and paper.
