Juliane Lenzer,

Born in 1946, lives and works in the Rheingau. After studying painting in Vienna, specializing in sacred painting, she devoted herself to the technique of the Old Masters and worked as a restorer. Hermann Nitsch became her teacher from 1992 to 1994. After early works in the style of Fantastic Realism, her more recent paintings show abstract color spins of various materials with, for example, gold paper sprinkles. She creates intoxicating material mosaics in large format.
