Renate Sautermeister

10 YEARS AFTER

18 June to 16 July 2022

On Saturday, 9 July 2022, 12 h, Dr Katinka Fischer will speak on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the artist's death.

We honour the memory of the Frankfurt artist Renate Sautermeister (1937-2012) with selected works. Renate Sautermeister (1937-2012).

The exhibition will cover all phases of her work: from surreal-representational to abstraction. The centrepiece is the three-part screen from 1982, named after a Beckett quote:

"...And dream of a path through a space, without here, without there, where all the steps in the world never approach anything, never move away from anything".
